hp_diversity | Diversity Awareness Rec Month

Announcing a new HP Diversity event!*

In honor of October being Diversity Awareness Month (at least in some places), we will be collecting and posting recs for fic, art, podfic, vids, meta, what have you, that feature a character of color from the Harry Potter universe.

You can submit your recs by commenting to this post (screened) until September 30, 2013. We, the mods, will then collate the recs and post them throughout the month of October for your viewing pleasure. Easy? Easy!

In the event that there are more recs than can comfortably be posted in one month (which would be awesome, so don't hold back with the recs), we reserve the right to pick and choose which ones will be featured. But we will post a complete list of all the recs at the end, so none of the juicy goodness will be lost!

Don't have any at the moment, but this looks like a great idea and I'd love to participate! I know there are some great Kingsley (+ Lee?) fics out there that I'll try and dig up, I really enjoyed those.

Adding: I've posted on hpsapphicappeal but I'm going to hold off posting on hprare_cliche until after the fest posting is done there on Sept. 17. I don't want to interrupt that, and also I think it would be better timing to ask for recs after the fest is done, when all the submissions are fresh in people's minds. :)
