Character Spotlight Challenge

The entire purpose of this community is to increase the volume of fanwork featuring characters of color so why not generate some new fanart/fanfiction!

Every month there'll be a Character Spotlight Challenge to get your juices going.
The gist of it is to encourage you to create fanwork featuring a particular character.

There's no sign up necessary. Just post your work to the comm and it'll be added to a masterlist to be posted next month as the new challenge is announced.

Have fun with this! Give us your crack, angst, fluff, anything from drabbles to full blown fic.

For the November/December challenge: MRS. ZABINI
A "famously beautiful witch" who "married seven times." Each of her wealthy husbands died a mysterious death, leaving her a lot of gold. Blaise Zabini's mother. -HPL

Maybe an exploration of her relationship with her son for some intriguing gen-fic? Maybe she'll finally find a lover that doesn't suddenly kick the bucket? What is her first name, anyway?

As always, the Plotbunny Drop-Off Point is open and bunnies are up for adoption.
There may already be a bunny there involving Mrs. Zabini, hint hint.

Of course this doesn't mean that you should stop posting your other work, even if it doesn't fit the challenge, to this comm. Bring it on! This is just an extra motivator to get your muse going.

Damn, you would post this just as I have a plotbunny mentally roughed out for a fic in which her husbands are under a DADA-job-style curse, and which I've been putting off on time grounds. :)

(Like the challenge method, btw. Rather like the old [livejournal.com profile] omniocular one, which always seemed to work well.)

Yay, I like this idea a lot!
