Why you are reccing this:
wook77 re-imagines the intrigues of the heart in sixth year from Seamus' perspective. It's a wonderfully introspective piece on the evolution of a relationship and the torment of seeing the one you love dally about with another.
Title of work: Stripped to Skeletons
Author/Artist/Creator:
l3petitemort
Medium: fic
Featured character of color: Dean
Pairing, if any: Dean/Seamus
Rating: NC-17
Word count: 2,525

Reccer:

Why you are reccing this: This is one of the most beautifully written fics I've ever read. It's like poetry, not because it's soppy or flowery (it isn't) but because of the rhythm and concise perfection of every word.
I've read surprisingly few fics set immediately after the Battle of Hogwarts, but this builds an amazing picture of what it probably would have been like. Every HP character has their own story to tell of the DH year. This is that story for Seamus and Dean, who had been inseparable for every other book, but who JKR separated for the last one. It's also the story of the castle full of corpses and smoke and exhausted relief which would take a while to become celebration, where there are bodies on the tables in the Great Hall instead of puddings and blood like macabre graffiti on the walls.
They say that all fiction is really about sex, except for descriptions of sex which are always really about something else. Most of this fic is the description of one sex act, but that sex is actually about surviving the aftermath of war and rebuilding a relationship within it.
