Why you are reccing this: The artwork is beautiful. What I like even more though is the sentiment behind the image. It's a tender moment between two friends. Their intimacy and closeness is so obvious in this kind of tableau. Other visitors would probably stand by the bed or sit in a chair next to it, while tactfully avoiding to look directly at Lavender. But Parvati does none of that. She sits close to Lavender right on the bed, touches her with both hands and looks directly into her face. There is no distance or awkwardness, only the assurance that Lavender is certainly still gorgeous in Parvati's eyes.
