Why you are reccing this: This is a long fic. It's a disturbing one with sexual abuse at its centre.. It's an uplifting story, though, ultimately. It is one of survival. It is written with great sympathy, but never becomes maudlin, angry or sentimental. It's the story of how (with Padma's help) Dudley rebuilds his life and learns his own self-worth. It's really well worth a read sometime when you're feeling strong.

Why you are reccing this: It is the sequel in art to the fic above and it's one of the most joyous pieces of art I've ever seen. It's made more poignant by knowing Dudley's background from the fic, but even without that, the hope and happiness of this family is irresistible.
