Here's what's going on around the fandom in this merry month of May where characters of color are more than welcome (and encouraged!)...

- Claiming is open for the HP Mental Health Fest until 10 May at hp_mhealthfest. Prompts for Dean and Cho...

- Claiming is open for the HP Rare Fest at hprarefest, with submissions due 15 May. There are lots of pairings with characters of color available, including Dean/Draco, Padma/Daphne, and Blaise/Hannah. As well as plenty of 'any character' prompts.

- Create creature-tastic fanworks for hp_creatures using any of the monthly prompts. All pairings and gen are welcome! Have the urge to write some Werewolf!Dean or Fred Weasley II inheriting Weasleys' Wizarding Wheezes? This is the place! Due date is 29 May.

- May Madness is running at hp_may_madness with daily drabble/drawble prompts until the end of the month. Get in there and go mad!

- Claiming is open for the age-disparity HP Dark Ages fest at hp_darkages, with submissions due 2 June. Prompts featuring characters of color...

- The Harry Potter Humor Fest is open for prompting until June 27 at hp_laughs. Perfect for Fred/George/Angelina, Fred II/Roxanne, or even Cho/Luna... who knows what wacky hijinks those Ravenclaws get up to!

- Claiming is open for HP Drizzle at hp_drizzle until 7 August 2014. Ginny/Blaise with a sunburn, Cho playing Quidditch without her knickers, and Blaise/Neville in the rain are just a few of the many possibilities. You can also use your own prompt!

This may be a stupid question but are there links to /read/ all the finished products?

I used to go through all the fests when the master lists were posted and pick out the submissions with characters of color, but it's a lot of work. You can find all the master lists for HP fests at hp_masterlists.
