October Diversity Pimping Post
It's the month of every witch's and wizard's favorite holiday: Halloween! Add to that the continued gearing up for Yule, Christmas, and other Winter fare, and there's really no end to opportunities for working in some diversity this month.
- Starting with our very own Prompts of Color Event in honor of Diversity Awareness Month, running all month. Leave a prompt or two, or get inspired to create a little something colorful!
- Check out the weekly prompts every Tuesday at
hp_het_taboo to get inspired for any het pairings involving taboos such as incest, age gaps, kinks, or infidelity. Mrs Zabini/Draco, Roxanne/Louis, or Angelina/Fred/George would all fit.
- Weekly slash prompts are also available every Saturday athogwarts365 and het/gen prompts are posted every Monday at hp_hetgen.
- Claiming is still open for the HP Cross Gen Fest at
hp_crossgenfest until October 5. Draco as Kingsley's assistant, any Next-Gen girl (for example, Roxanne) in detention with Professor Pansy Parkinson, and Hermione and Kingsley working together at the Ministry are just three of the options available.

severus_fest is open, with one prompt for Severus/Kingsley and several for Snape/Any, so do go have a look.
- Sign-ups are open for thehp_halloween Drabble Exchange until October 11. You're only committing to 200 words, so why not request some Halloween hijinks with Angelina, Lee, Kingsley, or Aurora?
- The Dirtywrong Comment Fest is running at
hp_het_taboo until 12 October 2014. The Weasley twins taking advantage of an unconscious Angelina, Lupin helping Padma with an assignment in exchange for sexual favors, and Parvati and Lee having very creative sex in an unused classroom are just a few of the very dirty, very wrong prompts.
-hp_darkarts has issued a Potions challenge for any dark fanwork involving potions. What sinister things did Slughorn teach Blaise? What did Cho brew up to get Harry to kiss her (or to get back at him for dumping her)? And how did Mrs Zabini get rid of her first six husbands? Fanworks are due October 19.
- Humpathon is running athp_humpdrabbles until October 23, and there are already some hot, hot prompts - and fills - with characters of color, but more is always good!
